Job Description

This position is part of a team of analysts that supports the Electrical Sector – Americas. It’s primarily responsible for delivering and supporting projects, Database Management and Reporting of data related to sales, customers and pricing.

  • List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) that must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.* Major duties, functions and key responsibilities but not limited to are as follows:
  1. Partner with the business, sales and pricing team to conduct pricing development studies aimed to improve pricing efficiency and effectiveness.

  2. Manage databases and homegrown tools and identify ways to use existing data in more productive ways.

  3. Possess knowledge and experience in the acquisition, analysis, and display of data; and in extraction of information and knowledge from that data in supports decision making to business leaders.

  4. Work on process efficiency by automation and smart analytics to remove redundant activities in pricing operation processes.

  5. Support in executing projects of strategic importance in the areas of Price Management

  6. Provide ongoing analytical support to Business Division and various levels of management in the organization related to Pricing and other issues.

  7. Support in making consulting/analysis to business leaders, Finance leaders & sales leaders in pricing processes that builds pricing sophistication and overall profitability, which drive sustainable change and enhanced business results

  • Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)*

Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) that your position requires.

  • Minimum Graduate in Mathematics, Business, Economics. MBA (Marketing) degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience – manufacturing industry exposure preferred.

  • Statistical and Mathematical Modeling knowledge

  • Expertise in Statistical languages tools – R, OAA, BDD and SPSS / SAS Hands on experience on some of the below statistical methods would be preferred:

  • Forecasting Models

  • Multiple Regression

  • Trend Analysis

  • Factor Analysis

  • Cluster Analysis

  • Data Mining approaches

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Structured approach to Problem solving

  • Business proficiency in the following areas is required:

  • Strong business acumen

  • Understanding of costing concepts and terminology

  • Ability to manage a large amount of transactional data and determine trends up to part number level with win-loss analysis using statistical and analytical tools.

  • Good organizational and time management skills, strong analytical skills and the inter-personal skills to interact with all levels of management.

  • Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Technical proficiency in following areas is required:

  • MS – Access, MS- Excel, Web-Based Tools,
