Job Description

Primary responsibility of the engineer is to work on application engineering of Automatic Transfer Switches which includes designing of electrical schematics and mechanical parts like bus bars, supports, enclosures. Also, job includes release of finial manufacturing drawings and detailed bill of material

• Familiar with application engineering tools and process

• Assist in the development of application engineering designs in customer order engineering and custom order design

• Create and revise engineering documentation such as detail drawings, 3D models, bills of material, component specifications, etc. as necessary to support the development and manufacture of all products. Insure accurate information is transmitted to external suppliers, internal manufacturing personnel, and Engineering personnel.

• Communicate with all departments to insure that correct engineering documentation is available and in use for the manufacture of all products.

• Research and submit engineering change notices (ECN) and implement document changes.

• Uses Inventor to create component detail models and modifies models of existing products to meet new customer requirements. Supervises detail design in completion of detail drawings and packages.

• Review Supplier Document Requirements List documents based on product requirements, customer specifications or industry standards like UL, IEC, NEMA etc.,.

• Review, design proposals and documentation required to define & control products.

• Participate in design reviews, both customer and internal as required

• Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

EDUCATION:

Required: Electrical Engineer

QUALIFICATION:

Required:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in electrical designing

• Experience in ETO (engineered to order) atmosphere

• Experienced and able to with cross functional teams

• Knowledge of various manufacturing process like Sheet metal fabrication, molding, turning, machining, welding

• Experience with stringent timelines, and support of multiple projects in parallel.

• Fluent in English and able to communicate with team overseas

• Experience in Autodesk Inventor/ProE/AutoCAD

• Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.

• Uses Inventor to create component detail models and modifies models of existing products to meet new customer requirements. Supervises detail design in completion of detail drawings and packages.

• Support Creation of new designs and advanced methodologies to support the Technical Roadmap of the organization.

• Review Supplier Document Requirements List documents based on product requirements, customer specifications or industry standards like IEC, NEMA etc.,.

• Review, design proposals and documentation required to define & control products.

• Participate in design reviews, both customer and internal as required

• Review reliability predictions, and Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD results.

• Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams.

• Coordinate and support prototype manufacturing of products.

• Perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications.
