Job Description

• Be the point of contact for the business customers and drive their priorities in SCM SSC. Provide strong leadership in enhancing value proposition for the allocated business.

• Be the growth agent for his/her Business, maximizing SSC’s utilization in every region and SCM sub-function.

• Support execution of the Global SCM strategy.

• Develop strategy for SSC‘s partnership with Business SCM - maximizing value to business and providing strategic positioning for SSC within the allocated business.

• Define and execute the initiatives aligned to the strategy along with SSC’s Operations team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements)

  1. Strong networking with customers and have excellent understanding of their business model, key requirements and priorities.

  2. Own VOC for the allocated business, and drive the right alignment in SSC’s operations.

  3. Identifying Business SCM’s pain areas and develop growth opportunities for SSC.

  4. Monitor the key business deliverables and work with Operations team for timely and accurate execution.

  5. Develop short term and long term business impact scenarios and strive for maximizing the value from SSC.

  6. Own Transitions process using PROLaunch tool. Collaborate with SSC’s Operations team and Business customers for flawless transitions.

  7. Work with customers for understanding the upcoming skill & competency requirements and support development of SSC’s organizational capability and capacity.

  8. Own formulation and execution of annual operating plans, aligning with regional and corporate goals and objectives.

  9. Work with Customers and Operations team in defining and executing Service level agreements.

  10. Establish monitoring mechanisms to identify both areas for improvement and recognition.

  11. Work collaboratively with Business Program Managers and other SCM leaders in defining the road map for moving suitable tasks and processes to SCM SSC.

  12. Own the cost allocation to business and strive for optimizing the cost while maximizing the value-add.

  13. Track and report value impact to the allocated business meticulously and work with all stakeholders in maximizing it.

  14. Develop customer relationships and monitor customer satisfaction on a regular basis, aligned with global SCM approach and process.

  15. Ensure integrity and accuracy of all information reported to internal and external customers. Promote quality culture within the SCMSSC.

  • Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)*

Basic Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Experience in supply chain domain, in a multinational corporation, a must.

  • 10+ years of experience in SSC Business Development or Customer Management role.

  • Bachelor degree (preferably Engineering or equivalent ) ,MBA preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills, especially associated with working in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environment - ability to influence upward, peer-wide, and downward;

  • Strong Program management skills.

  • Adept in customer/supplier interaction in a highly demanding environment

  • Adaptable to Global cultures and remote working.

  • Strong customer orientation, having direct experience in managing customer deliverables.

  • Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.

  • Perfect ethical approach and strong personal values

  • Strong managerial courage and ability to work through resistance and pushback to change

  • An individual with a strong sense of urgency and customer focus

  • Self-directed leadership with minimal supervision & capability to be self-directed & potential to be empowered to next functional level where appropriate

  • Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.

  • Strong change management – that embraces OCM / ADKAR change management principles

  • English language fluency (writing, reading and speaking) essential – other languages like German, French, Spanish, mandarin, advantageous
